We are so proud of Cassie--she tried out for JV Cheer and made it! She must get her tumbling talents from her Dad. She also made One Image (the top dance group at Highland) She was one of only a few freshmen who were chosen. Way to go Cassie! Clay's last choir concert was Monday night. They really sounded great! Clay won the award for outstanding 7th grade boys choir student. We were surprised because he didn't even tell us he had a solo and then he received the award on top of it. What a great night!
Clay's great concentration before they begin their last number! He almost looks convincing!
Mother's day was a very relaxing day for me. We have 8am church (luckily we're almost half way through) and when I got home they let me take a long long nap! I know Russ was tired too but he stayed with the little girls and let me sleep--I am one lucky mother! We opened presents and home-made cards. It was a perfect Mother's Day!
Cami's class at school had a little Mother's Day program where they made us things, sang to us, and fed us--what more could you want!
Carlee was chosen by her teacher to get this character counts award. Her teacher told me she is always thinking about others and tries to make everyone feel important. We were able to go to a breakfast with all the other students in the district. We always knew Carlee had a tender heart and we are so proud of her!
Wow! What great kids. Which I already knew. I hope you come prepared tomorrow night to tell us all of your great parenting techniques. So start thinking about it, because I don't want to hear they just came that way. :)

It's awesome that Clay is enjoying choir and doing so well! It's been a great experience for Zach, too! :)
