Please STOP

I can't believe Chloe is Five! Her birthday was actually on the 5th but I thought if I didn't blog about it--maybe it didn't really happen. She is the best end child anyone could ever want--always letting everyone love on her and still being able to keep up with the big kids. She doesn't ever want to be left out of anything but when she is home with Russ and I during the day--she is the sweetest and always promises us she won't grow up.

She is definately loved by her older brother!

Her official "birthday kiss" from her cousin Dailynd--who is 3 days older.
We always celebrate birthdays at Grammy and Grampy's on Sunday. They fix her favorite dinner and she has balloons in her favorite colors. It's always fun to have cousins and family!

Luckily--we still have someone who loves Barbies (although we have a full bucket of barbies--what's one more)

Like I said--she's definately loved!

Out to eat at her favorite--Gecko Grill!
C cute and cuddly
H happy and helpful
L loves us all
O oodles of fun
E energetic--loves to keep up with everyone

Eagle Scout!

Chantz had his Eagle Court of Honor last Sunday and we are so proud of him. It was so nice to have so many family and friends come out to support him on this special night. After listening to his leaders speak about him--it is easy to know why we feel so lucky to be his parents! One down and one more to go!!
Chloe and Dailynd enjoying some dessert.

~ Proud parents~

Bishop Merrill congratulating Chantz! Bishop had hurried back from general conference and made it in time--we are so lucky for great leaders!
Getting ready for a family picture at home since we forgot to take one there.
Putting the eagle pin on.

Homecoming--Senior year

Last week was homecoming--(I know I'm late and trying to catch up.) Chantz took Sammie Jones and they had a great time.
He's pretty good about accommodating his picture-takin' Mom!

Thankfully--Sammie also has a picture takin' mom who shares pictures!

They had dinner at Sterling Priday's house and his Mom made a great dinner. After the dance they came back to our house for dessert since we are such night owls!
For their day-date they had a big breakfast and then had to dress up so no one would recognize them in their group. Then they went to Fiesta Mall and the idea was to try and find everyone in their group before they were found. Chantz and Sammie were the winners! Everyone thought Chantz was Shawn White (incredible snowboarder and skateboarder...I do watch the X games!) He even got asked for his autograph!
Here's the rest of the group looking for Chantz & Sammie.....some were pretty easy to spot!

They had a great time!

Camping--me?

That's right--here's the proof. We went on our ward camp-out for one night and actually had a great time! Carlee, Cami and Chloe had really been looking forward to this since we missed last years because Russ was in the hospital. We did miss Chelsey who had to work (conveniently). You could either sleep in an addy or bring your own tent. My in-laws have a cabin maybe 5 miles from where we were--but we couldn't convince our kids to sleep there (and believe me--I tried!) We set up our tent on the porch of the addy so at least we were on level ground with no big rocks underneath us--and also no spiders could get in our tent!
We went on some fun hikes down by the creek.
Chloe loved the tire swing!

Carlee and her friends built a fort and tried to cook the fresh blackberries you could find along the creek.

They were pretty sweet and yummy!

The weather was perfect--we were excited to get to wear jackets!

We had a great time and ended up staying for a while on Saturday. After all--who wants to come home to heat and chores!

Great fire for marshmallows and s'mores --although it was a little scary because some parents aren't as freaked out as I am by little kids waving sticks with fire on the end!

We can hardly wait for next year! (I've already started putting little ideas about how much fun it would be to sleep at the cabin--maybe it will work!)
