We have been keepin' pretty busy! Chelsey started the summer by cutting her hair!! She cut 12 inches off and wanted to donate it to Locks of Love--so what could I say!! She looks really cute (and that is coming from a "long-hair" person). One thing is for sure--it is a lot cooler in our lovely 112 degree weather.
Cassie, Clay and Carlee all participated in the GFA music camp. It was for two weeks with a great performance at the end. I can't believe how much they can teach these kids in such a short amout of time. They were singing these great songs at home so even Cami and Chloe learned the words. All 3 of them had solo's and did great! It was a lot of fun to watch.
Then--Russ and Chantz went with the Young Men and hiked Havasupai--They were gone for almost 4 days. It was a long hike but both made it back okay and I have heard many many stories about how crazy Russ and Chantz were. They were definately ringleaders and challenged many of them to cliff jump, dive thru waterfalls, rope swing, backflips off of waterfalls just to name a few. Then Chantz was in a hurry to hike out and made it in record time. Russ said he tried to keep up but had to slow down at the switch-backs. I must say--I do have "adventureous manly men" in our family!! (I'll have pictures soon)
Father's Day--Luckily for Russ--Father's day was the following Sunday--so he could recuperate and have breakfast in bed. He tried not to complain too much about any aches and pains he may have had. I am so lucky to have him for a husband and father to our children!
The next thing--Russ and I thought we needed to "redo" our two bathrooms--because we have way too much "free" time. We had new tops made and did the rest ourselves. I must say--a bathroom seems like a small room until you start sponge painting--and then it seems huge!! Well we just finished last night and got them put back together--what a relief!
Next--Chantz and Cassie leave for EFY in Flagstaff on Monday. I know they will have a great time!!
Well that about covers our summer so far--still trying to confirm everything for our vacation in July--if we make it in this heat that long!!

Oh, WOW! I love Chels hair...very college looking! Sounds like the normal routine for the Olivers. Thanks for posting pictures. Cassie hair looks longer, is she letting it grow out? It's just been along time since we've seen them. Have a good hot one. :)

It's about time you and Russ got off the couch and did something productive. I'M KIDDING!!! How in the world did you make time to redo not one, but TWO bathrooms? You two are the bomb dot com! :D
