Christmas Eve

We start the night off by going over to Grampy & Grammy's and acting out the Nativity. My dad always reads the story and is a great narrator! (I have to admit I stole some of the pictures from my sister's blog--great pictures!)
It was Cassie's turn to be Mary and Lincoln was Joseph. The girls have to rotate each year once they turn eight. I think Chloe and Lizzy are the last ones to reach the magical age!
I love this picture!
The Angels ~ Chloe, Lizzy and Dailynd
Wisemen ~ Faye and Clay
Shepherds ~ Ashley, Cami and Carlee
The whole cast--Chelsey and Jacque were the "directors" this year specifically in charge of costumes.
After the Nativity--each family has to provide some "talent". It has become a tradition for us Olivers to do the 12 days of Christmas as fast as we can. I think we added the actions last year to showcase our many talents!
Luckily these cute girls made up a dance to perform....some actual talent from our family!
My mom and my Aunt Sue performed a Christmas duet while their husbands added some visuals. These women have been playing the piano for well over 65 years. I am always amazed when I listen to them play.
Such a special treat to listen to on Christmas Eve!
Best cousins and friends ~ Ashley and Carlee (20 days apart)
Missing one (a lot) ~ it's very different without Chantz but this means...one down, one to go! I love our Christmas Eve traditions and I am so grateful for my parents and the work they do to keep our family close!
