Before I knew I had to do those last two parties, Russ and I talked about having a party for the bishopric and it sounded like a great idea. After that weekend...I was pretty overwhelmed with Christmas and everything and didn't think it sounded like such a great idea anymore. But we had already told people about it and we decided to invite the whole ward council! (a little crazy don't you think) A couple of people ended up really helping out and we kept it pretty casual with Taco Soup and other yummy things to eat. I don't know what I was so stressed about because it was really fun and people were so willing to help bring things. We had a white elephant gift exchange and Russ ended up with our favorites (and one of the best gifts!) I think people were a little nervous to take something from him that he loved--M&M's. It might take a while for people to know how competitive Russ and I are and that everything goes when playing games! My gift on the other hand....was lovely fruitcake! I made everyone in our family try it so they could say they had tasted fruitcake but it was nasty (sorry if that offends some). Who buys fruitcake?

Hahaha... your gift compared to dads! You always throw great parties :)
Sounds like alot of fun! I have loved checking in on your blog...it makes me feel like I know what you are up to;) About El Paso...that is so funny that Russ was there. I am there nearly every week...business and other things....it is about 3 hours from us. We spend a great deal of time there. When did he go? and who is the Dr.?? Hugs!
I just got all caught up on your family. Loved looking at all your pictures. And YES indeed - you have been crazy busy at your house over the past while! A big family makes for a full calendar :) You are so good at posting about it all. I'm not so good. I let too many things go by. I need to fix that and post more often. Can you pass some of your magic on to me??
