I hate this time of year...I'm always so sad to see my kids go back to school. We started out with the fashion show and when we got home Sunday night I put all the school supplies out for us to load up our backpacks with what we needed. (this only show half of the supplies!) Then we painted toenails and fingernails for the first day--and tried to get some sleep! Cassie leaves first at 6:15 for A hour (needless to say, I am not up each morning cookin' her a hot breakfast--nutri-grain bars are great!) Clay leave our house at 7:10 to catch the bus (still nutri-grain breakfast because I am trying to get the 3 girls ready)
Carlee, Cami and Chloe leave at 7:45--they actually have time for a bowl of cereal! Chantz leaves the house last at 8:20. He doesn't start school until 2nd hour (after 3 years of A hour..it's a nice change for him) back to nutri-grain bars because he tries to get as much sleep in as possible)
I have just have to let you know how hard it is for me to let this last one go. I went back and forth because she's not 5 until October 5th but she was really ready. I waited until the last minute to have her tested and was probably the only disappointed mom when she made it with flying colors! I kept going back and forth and she kept telling me she would stay home if I wanted her to (and I did!) Then on Saturday she came up and asked me if I would mind if she went to kindergarten because she really wanted to go. She informed me it would only be for a couple of hours and then she would be home (she is home by 10:45!) She is a sweetie and was worried I would be sad....so I tried to put my happiest face on and told her that would be great! It is so hard to admit to myself that everyone is growing up. This is the first time in almost 20 years where I will be home by myself (okay Russ is home) for 2 hours and 45 minutes everyday. I hate when each of my kids go back to school but this takes the cake! Luckily for me--she had a great time and has a lot of friends and really likes her teacher--but I did tell her she didn't have to go back if she didn't want to!
Such cute kids! They are all growing up so fast! Sorry about not calling you back on Saturday. I was with your hubby all day for the baptism and didn't even get your message until late Sunday night. If you still need the recipe call me!:)
First of all I can't believe how grown up Cassie looks. did she lighten her hair. Looks good. Second of all I can't believe you let Chloe go to school!!! I am sure it was killing you. If I remember right you didn't even want to send her to preschool last year. I shed a tear for you, but it will be good to keep the girls close in school. They will love it!

You should open a supply store. Your feelings about Chloe tugged at my heart strings. Good luck with that! All adorable, handsome and fab!
