Ice-Skating

I forgot to mention--we did get to do one fun thing during the break--we went Ice-Skating! I was amazed at how easy my kids made it look and it was the first time for a lot of them. I don't remember it being that easy when I was younger and I didn't really want to try it again now that I'm older (and hopefully wiser!) By the end of the night, they were trying to do spins and look like the ice-skaters on the olympics--Cami was trying to lift one leg and skate, while Cassie and Carlee were attempting to spin continuously. Chantz and Clay were just trying to go as fast as possible and not wipe out. Chelsey had a dress on since she came straight from work. She assured me she didn't usually fall so who am I to say she can't skate in a dress. She did really well until almost the end of the night--and then just a quick fall (did I mention she was wearing a dress!) It was pretty funny! I can honestly say--I was impressed (and not just because they are my kids!) We did have alot of bruises and blisters but I think everyone had a great time!
