We are Home!!

Russ finally got to come home today from the hospital--hopefully for the last time!! We are so very thankful for the many prayers and fasting that was done in our behalf. I know our prayers were truly answered and we have been blessed. I just wanted to share one experience that I had that has strengthened my testimony. On Friday--Russ was very sick and was pretty incoherent. He was saying a lot of things that didn't make sense. It was a little scary to me because I have seen him on heavy pain medication and this wasn't the same. He had a very rough day and was out of it most of the time. I was extremely worried about him and also our business as I listened to him on the phone. I knew he wouldn't be able to take calls in this state of mind. After I returned most of the phone calls and put everything on the schedule--I realized that I would have to start taking the calls for the business. I didn't know how this was going to work. We also had another nurse that thought he knew more than the doctors and was pretty adamant I didn't know what I was talking about. He thought Russ's headaches could be cured with just regular Tylenol. Why didn't the Neurosurgeon think of that!! When he gave Russ the tylenol he wasn't able to give him the pain medicine because it also contained tylenol-- so Russ was in pain unless he wanted to use the heavy-duty pain medicine. Anyways (this is getting long) I was at my very end driving home Friday night around 11pm and didn't know how much longer I could go on. I was praying to our Heavenly Father to please, please help us because I didn't think Russ could take much more and I knew I couldn't. I was desperate and worried because Russ was so out of it and I thought the headaches could be caused from something else. Saturday morning when I got to the hospital--Russ's headaches were gone. He was scheduled for a MRI but they cancelled it because everything had returned to normal. He hasn't had any headaches since then. I know Heavenly Father heard and answered our prayers. I am so thankful for our family and friends and all of your love and support through this difficult time. I know we are so blessed to be surrounded by the love and concern from each one of you. Thank-you and know how much we love you. Russ is home now and I am getting to play nurse--learning how to give him the antibiotics through his IV. Our family is so happy to have him home and getting better!!

Yeah for the Oliver Family! We love you and are so, so happy that Russ is home. Of course, this mean Chloe won't want to come to our house, but having Dad home is much, much better!
Love you all!
